August musings
Worlds Beyond Number: Book 1 just ended today! I love this project and the world of Umora and supporting several of my favorite storytellers.
Speaking of, I'm juggling reading two short story collections right now, The Watchers Out of Time by Lovecraft and Grotesquerie by Richard Gavin. (I could stand to add something a little more uplifting to read to the rotation.)
I also moved last month and love my new space. The best part is looking for new furniture. I know I'm grown because things like lamps are exciting now. Now that I'm settling in, I feel a new urge to find community. I've been burned by fandom before (niche communities are often rife with toxic, cliquey vibes) but lately finding myself open to the idea again, mostly for the books, shows and podcasts I'm enjoying.
